ITE Concert Band received Gold with Honours with a percentage of 85.33%. Good job guys!

Lets maintain the standard and improve more okay. SYF 2009 Concert Band Presentation

Band, there's a concert coming up soon. It is the Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) 2009 Concert Band Presentation Night. It will showcase the five local school bands who had achieved excellent results at the recent SYF 2009 Central Judging of Concert Bands in April and May.

The bands performing are from: Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Tanjong Katong Girls’ School, Xinmin Secondary School, Anderson Junior College and National Junior College.

The concert will present a repertoire of familiar classics including Verdi’s La Forza Del Destino, Strauss II’s Die Fledemaus, Puccini’s Turandot, and Gillingham’s With Heart and Voice.

There will also be a combined band presenting the SYF 2009 set pieces, Two Overtures for Wind Band, composed by Dr Kelly Tang.

My beloved bandsmen, I'm happy to announce that we're participating in the 21st Century International Art Festival Band Competition which will be held in Malaysia, Genting International Convention Centre. This will be held from 23rd-27th November 2009. So, please make sure all of you are able to participate in this and check your schedule, especially to those who have graduated. Ps. Those in poly, it's still a school term =(

Do take note that awarded certificates based on performances are as follows:
-GOLD 85% and above
-SILVER 75%-84.99%
-BRONZE 65%-74.99%
-Certificate of Participation 65% and below.

So, Band.... Let's work hard together.. as one and achieve what we're aiming for. We have around 5 months to buck up, so let's really cheong all the way!!!!!!! GO GO ITE BAND! :D

SILVER!

in National Band Competition in an OPEN CATEGORY

Bandsmen,
It was a well deserved silver for us. Making each day count, looking back the days when we were playing nonsense in band room last year till on 13th July 2008 the day we enjoyed every single minutes on stage. I hope the learning process won't stop here. Let's hope we can participate in the 21st Century International Band Competition at GENTING INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION CENTRE (GICC)*. To be confirmed* Musica Fantasia 3 will be next! Keep up the good work guys! :D See you guys in the rehearsal room the week after which is on 26th July! Same time. Don't be late!

Band Camp is over I do hope all of you learn something from the MASTERCLASS. I know everyone was shagged especially during sectionals and combined. Hopefully after sacrifices been made, you guys will be better on the day itself. Thanks to the Band leaders and camp committee for organising this camp.

Hello Bandsmen,

Sorry for the long awaiting post.

As you all know school holidays have just started so we'll put more sectionals every Wednesdays and Fridays. As for this week, instead of Wednesday we push to Tuesday which is TOMORROW due to the facilities of being used by another group. Section Leaders please do take note seriously. Keep on beeping them! Those without a valid reason do get in touch with the Band Leaders. This is very important as what Mr Eric says LEAN on them.

Band Camp will be officially an overnight camp IF more than 70% attends for it. If not we'll stick to the day camp. I do hope everyone would consider this, its all about you bandsmen, I do still think day camp is such a big mess. Do consider about your travel expenses, dinner etc etc. Plus those who live from one corner of the island.

National Band Competition
We will be performing on 13th July SUNDAY.
The 4th band to perform from OPEN DIVISION category.
Tickets for NBC 13th July and special guest appearance on 25th July(FRI), 7:30PM - 9:30PM.
$10 for NBC, $5 for special performance by Aichi Meiden High School*
Do pass the money latest by this FRIDAY.

Bandsmen please don't get agitated/disappointed over which category we are in. This is our first ever competition, let's just get in there and produce what we have been practicing all this while. Don't bother about the good bands/better bands/honours band. Whatever the results we get on that day that is the hardwork we've put in. A realistic target from all of you which is a SILVER. Let's aim for it as one band. As the saying goes individual unique together completes. All the best!

The day we were officially GREEN.

A warm sincere thanks to Nurul and the facilitators for doing a great job. Without them, the band won't work as much as it happened on Saturday. CHEERS for them! And without you guys, the band won't be much fun. I salute you guys for being patient even there's no lunch. Alright! All the best to the JAN intakes for their upcoming exams.

Band games day was FUN! I guess all the juniors and seniors did enjoy it! It was a success, thanks to the facilitators for making this a success! (: Especially to Nurul Idatullah, Mariam, Fadhli, Gabriel, Li Koon, Hidayah and not forgetting the band leaders, Zahiruddin and Fitri! Let me know if ive missed anyone out.

Sorry for the lack of updates. Compulsory sectionals will begin every friday starting on the 15th of feb from 6-9pm. Leaders have announced that the National Band Competition's date will start from the 12th july-14th july.

Games day tomorrow or i'd rather say later on, Please bring your own water bottles, cause only food will be provided. Goodnight.
